CELI CERTIFICATION

CELI Certification

WHAT IS CELI CERTIFICATION?

CELI Standard, CELI Immigrati and CELI Adolescenti

The CELI certificates, issued by the University for Foreigners of Perugia, certify general Italian-language proficiency for study and professional purposes. They are available in formats designed for different candidates: CELI Standard, CELI Immigrati and CELI Adolescenti.

The Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research recognises CELI 3 as valid proof of the Italian-language proficiency required for university admission in Italy. CELI has six levels aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Exam sessions are held in March (CELI Impatto, CELI 1, CELI 2 and CELI 3 only), June and November.
