Terms and Conditions

1.1. To register, please fill in the online registration form and send it.

1.2. A registration fee is provided in addition to the price of the course. Registration is valid for 1 year and costs 80 euros (40 euros for duration courses up to 2 weeks). The fee includes: entrance test, textbook and other educational material, guided tours with teachers of the school, final examination, final level certificate according to the Council of Europe Framework.

1.3 For the enrollment of minor students it is necessary
written permission of parents.

2.1. Payment may be made (excluding bank charges) through PayPal, credit card or by deposit on the Bank Account of ELLCI. Upon receipt and the amount, the secretariat will confirm the registration.

2.2. You can pay 30% of the cost of the course, the registration fee and any optional services (such as accommodation reservation) if the registration takes place at least 15 days before the start of the course. The total balance must be paid on subsequent days. If you need a study visa or if you are booking less than 15 days before the start of the course, you must make full payment.

3.1. Italian language group classes take place from Monday to Friday. Individual lessons can take place from Monday to Saturday. Classes are suspended on Italian holidays and are not refunded. All lessons are held in Italian; each individual lesson lasts 55 minutes; each group lesson lasts 45 minutes.

3.2. The lessons are conducted according to the communication approach, through dynamic activities such as games, songs and other interactive material. Your participation is important!

3.3 Periodically, the School carries out tests to assess the level of knowledge of the Italian language and the progress of the lessons. Based on the exam results, the School reserves the right to move the student to the most appropriate level class.

A mandatory frequency of at least 70% of the total class hours is required for the achievement of the certificate. In case of discontinuous frequency, the School reserves the right to move the student to the most appropriate level class.

3.4. If the student is absent from group lessons for personal reasons (travel, illness, work, etc.) it is not possible to organize recovery lessons, nor to obtain refunds. For individual courses it is possible to recover the lesson if the cancellation is communicated at least 24 hours before.

4. In rare cases where the school is unable to provide the accommodation required, it will propose alternatives. Arrival and departure dates must be confirmed by
email. The school operates only as an intermediary between students and owners and is not responsible for the relationships established between them.

4.2. The search and booking service costs Euro 50,00. This sum is added to the price of the accommodation and is not refundable in case of cancellation or change by the student.

4.3. Payment methods may vary depending on the accommodation chosen and do not depend on ELLCI Milano. The secretariat will inform the relevant instructions after receipt and registration and payment

4.4. If the student decides to change or cancel the reservation of the accommodation, he must notify the owner at least 4 weeks in advance. The reimbursement methods depend on the owner and are not responsible for ELLCI Milan.

4.4. Any damage to the accommodation must be paid directly to the owner. In the accommodation booked by the school, students will have to maintain a behavior that does not disturb the neighbors and any roommates. The reservation of the accommodation is strictly personal and the presence of any guests must be treated directly with the owner.

5.1. The application for cancellation must be sent to the school by e-mail, fax or registered letter.

5.2. If the cancellation is communicated more than 15 days before the start of the course, the school will retain the registration fee of € 80,00 plus 15% of the cost of the course. Within this period you can transfer the registration to another person.

5.3 If the cancellation is communicated less than 15 days before the start of the lessons, the school will retain the registration fee of € 80,00 plus 30% of the course cost.

5.4 If the cancellation takes place after the start of the course, the school retains the full cost of the course and the registration fee, but you can have a voucher to use within 12 months.

5.5 No scholarship cancellations are accepted.

5.6 When a visa is required, special booking and cancellation conditions apply, see section 9.

5.7 Once the course begins, no refund is granted, nor by discontinuous frequency of the lessons, nor by abandonment of the course. In case of abandonment due to force majeure it is possible to have a voucher to use within 12 months.

5.8. You cannot convert a group course into an individual course.

Students are covered by insurance only within the school. We therefore recommend to provide adequate insurance before leaving the country of origin.

The student authorizes ELLCI to include his/her personal data in his/her archives for administrative purposes related to his/her registration. The student will be able to receive, periodically, information, and promotional materials on the school and the courses carried out. The student, in every instant, according to the Italian law (art. 13 675/96) may request the removal of all his data.

The school reserves the right to use photos and video footage made during the course or leisure activities to illustrate its promotional material. If you do
student does not want to give consent to the publication of this material, he must write to the secretariat before the beginning of the course. This material has no commercial or contractual value.

9.1. When a visa is required, special booking and cancellation conditions apply. Non-European citizens who choose a course of more than 90 days, need a study visa. In this case, after receiving the full registration and payment of the course, we will send by email and also at home, with express courier, the original registration certificate for the request of the visa
at the consulate of Italy. Sending costs € 60,00.

9. Students are responsible for all practices and expenses related to the visa. The school is not responsible for the visa application, but may facilitate communication with Italian institutions in case of need.

9.3 Once sent to the student the certificate of registration to the course, by email or in original, for the request of the visa for study, the course will not be cancelled but you will be able to use a voucher to use within 12 months.

Alternatively, to obtain the refund, the student will have to ask a letter to the Italian consulate that the visa application for the Italian language course at ELLCI Milan was not presented and return to the school the original registration certificate together with the other documents received.

9.4. In case of denial of the visa, in order to have the right to reimbursement the student must send to ELLCI a copy of the letter of refusal issued by the Italian Ambassador/Consolate and the original documentation received from the school. The student will receive the reimbursement of the amount paid except the administrative fees of registration of € 80,00, the expenses for sending the documents and the administrative expenses of reimbursement of € 50,00

9.5.In the case of a study visa already issued, in order to have the right to cancel, the student will have to request the cancellation of the visa to the Italian Consular Authorities and send to the school a copy of its official communication, which will also be sent to the Immigration Office of the Questura of Milan according to Italian law.

The school reserves the right to change the program of its courses and its rates.

By completing the online registration form or any other written document relating to the registration, the student accepts the “General Conditions of Participation”.
